Wharton – The Perfect Pig [2008]
Ridout – Ferdinand the Bull [1974]
From the WCFSO press release:
Philip Wharton will serve as violinist and composer for our October Lollipop, sharing stories of bulls, wolves, hens, roosters and a full barnyard menagerie! Jason will be multi-tasking as clarinetist, narrator and co-host, joined by symphony cellist Susanne Bullard, Philip’s mother Marjorie Wharton on piano and guest baritone Andy Whitfield from Luther College. Keep an eye out for a guest appearance from one of the October 18 Peter and the Wolf character puppets created by summer student art classes at the Hearst Center for the Arts. This concert is free and open to the public, and will be repeated in eight local elementary schools with a sonata by Biber replacing the Perfect Pig.
